What We Believe

We Believe...
...That God's
Word,  the Holy Bible, gives us God's Plan for our lives.
(2 Pet 1:20-21) "Knowing
this  first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
{21}  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of
God  spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."  (Heb 4:12) "For the word of
God is  quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even
to the  dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and
is a  discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
  heart."

...That Salvation comes through  faith in Jesus Christ,
Repentance with a godly sorrow, Baptism in the Name of  Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins, and being filled with the Holy  Ghost.

(Heb
11:6) "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for  he that cometh to
God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them  that diligently
seek him."  (Mat 28:19) "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,  baptizing them
in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy  Ghost:"  (Acts
2:38-39) "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized  every one of you
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye  shall receive the
gift of the Holy Ghost. {39} For the promise is unto you, and  to your children,
and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God  shall
call."

...That JESUS
is  the saving Name.
(Acts 4:12) "Neither is
there salvation in any other: for there is  none other name under heaven given
among men, whereby we must be saved."  (John  5:43) "I am come in my Father's
name, and ye receive me not: if another shall  come in his own name, him ye will
receive."  (Mat 1:21) "And she shall bring  forth a son, and thou shalt call his
name JESUS: for he shall save his people  from their sins."  (John 14:26) "But
the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,  whom the Father will send in my name,
he shall teach you all things, and bring  all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto  you."

...That those
who  receive the Holy Ghost will speak with other tongues, and that those who
keep  the Holy Ghost will display the Fruit of the Spirit.
(Acts 2:4) "And they were all  filled with the Holy Ghost, and
began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit  gave them utterance."  (Gal
5:22-23) "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,  peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, {23} Meekness, temperance:  against such there is
no law."

...That
Sanctification (Holiness) is a  definite experience in the lives of those who
are truly saved.
(Heb 13:12) "Wherefore Jesus  also, that he might sanctify the
people with his own blood, suffered without the  gate."  (2 Cor 7:1) "Having
therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us  cleanse ourselves from all
filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting  holiness in the fear of God."
(1 John 2:15) "Love not the world, neither the  things that are in the world. If
any man love the world, the love of the Father  is not in him."
